Flaming Gorge Reservoir National Recreation Area

The Flaming Gorge isn't just a lake. It's an expansive, unforgiving diverse region. One can travel afoot, or afloat thru wonderous canyons carved by erosion and tectonic uplifting that exposes the earth's geologic history and Jurasic Graveyards.
Dinosaur National Monument

Here, at one of the largest fossil bone quarries in the world, paleotoligists have left over 200 bones in place for visitors to observe.
Major John Wesley Powell Expedition Island

A beautiful river island park that was the starting point for the first river trip down the Green and Colorado Rivers. In the spring of 1869 the one-armed Major Powell and two boat crews embarked on the 4 month "Ride of their Life!"
White Water Rafting and Slalom

Man made rapids thrill visitors from everywhere as they kayak and raft the Green River through town. The backed up water created by megolithic boulders create fish habitats stocked to the gils with trout, salmon and other native fish.
Wild Mustang Herds

Take a scenic drive and watch Wild Mustangs as they play on our high plains prairies. One might also see Antelope, Mule Deer, Elk or the occasioanal Bullwinkle.
