Rent-A-Wreck Opens in Davenport

(10/17/05) Owings Mills, MD – Darcy and Susan Belding have brought the rent-a-car company with the funny name to town! The new Rent-A-Wreck of Davenport is now open for business, located at 2416 Sand Mine road in Davenport.

A New York native, Darcy’s professional career has seen him find success in a variety of industries, while fulfilling the desire of a man who, by his own admission “likes to keep busy”. Starting out by owning a limousine service, Darcy gradually branched out into other areas of business, owning several bars and restaurants, and doing property management. Darcy’s wife Susan spent 21 years as a high school teacher, before she retired and joined Darcy in starting yet another business: the Beldings Furniture store. Now Darcy and Susan can add Rent-A-Wreck to their ever-expanding business empire.

In addition to that, Darcy Belding is a member of Osceola County Chamber of Commerce, networking with the Davenport community and helping people such as himself start new businesses. “I would also like to bring Rent-A-Wreck to Great Britain some time in the future but for right now I am working on building a relationship with my customers, and expending the fleet," says Darcy.

Rent-A-Wreck of Davenport marks 13th Rent-A-Wreck location to open in Florida since the company’s humble beginnings n Los Angeles some thirty years ago.
