(10/26/05) Owings Mills, MD – Otilia and Albert Herrera, owners and operators of Rent-A-Wreck of Gorman, the convenient and cost-saving neighborhood car rental company, are celebrating their 5 th year of success this month.

Located at 49717 Peace Valley road, Rent-A-Wreck of Gorman is one of more than 350 franchise locations worldwide and since joining the Rent-A-Wreck system, its fleet has grown to include a variety of vehicles.

Albert and Otilia Herrera are a husband and wife team that has worked and lived together for 19 years. Before starting Rent-A-Wreck, they both ran a 12 year old automotive repair shop, called Albert’s Auto Electric. Despite changing businesses, Herreras have kept a lot of the same customers that help out by referring out-of-towners in need of a rental car to Rent-A-Wreck.

“Our focus over the past five years has been to meet the used car rental and leasing needs of the community. We’ve made the Rent-A-Wreck name stand for quality and service,” said Otilia. “We depend on our repeat and out-of-town customers, who know about us by word-of-mouth, so it’s very important to maintain good service,” added Albert.

In the near future Albert and Otilia plan to add some newer model cars to their fleet. Also, they plan to keep participating in a number of holiday parades, as a way of giving back to the community that has helped them maintain their business.

Rent-A-Wreck rents new and used cars, vans and trucks. Used vehicles are typically two to four years old. Every Rent-A-Wreck vehicle is expertly serviced and safety inspected before each rental. Most standard sized and models, including station wagons, vans and trucks are available.
